Geomatys is an IT development company specializing in spatial information processing. Facilitating access to geospatial BigData to improve decision-making and risk is at the heart of our business.
Since its founding in 2005, the company has been involved in Open Source projects. Our services are built on the open-source library Apache-SIS, of which Geomatys is a major contributor.
We have leveraged our expertise to create an open-source software platform: Examind Community (formerly Constellation-SDI). Fully mastered and interoperable, it complies with industry standards.
In recent years, the growing maturity of the platform has led us to develop it into a range of proprietary products: the Examind suite. It is built on the same open-source foundation and also offers additional proprietary features.
Our mastery of the entire software base means that Geomatys’ teams can create and deploy custom solutions from A to Z, and to innovate in response to all types of new and complex problems.

Geomatys participates in OGC meetings and standardization groups to advance the standards. Thanks to the expertise of Martin Desruisseaux, OGC GeoAPI chairman, the company guarantees solutions compliant with OGC, ISO and INSPIRE standards, ensuring optimal interoperability and seamless integration in GIS systems.
Innovation
Geomatys invests between 20 and 30% of its revenue in R&D to develop its own tools and master the entire production chain. This autonomy enables us to address complex needs related to the manipulation of spatial data.
